Story & Atmosphere
No.6 Restaurant, nestled in the heart of Kathu District, Phuket, offers a culinary experience that blends local flavor with a touch of casual comfort. Located within the lively Zaina Food Court, this spot is ideal for travelers and families seeking a spacious, welcoming environment to enjoy authentic dishes without the fuss.
The standout here is their Al Fahm chicken—a smoky, grilled delight that carries the spirit of traditional Middle Eastern flavors. While some may find the preparation style a bit unconventional, the twist adds depth and richness, making each bite satisfying and memorable. Alongside, the porotta served is a surprise highlight; its flaky, buttery layers complement the spicy, aromatic chicken perfectly, enhancing the overall meal.
For those craving more substantial fare, their Chicken Biryani presents a symphony of spices and tender meat, reflecting the vibrant culinary heritage that Phuket’s diverse food scene embraces. Though the shawarma isn’t always readily available, the restaurant’s varied menu ensures there’s something to tantalize every palate.
What resonates most about No.6 Restaurant is its dedication to quality and flavor amidst a casual, family-friendly setting. The dishes, while not extravagant, offer authentic taste and comfort—perfect for anyone looking to savor a genuine meal in Phuket’s bustling food court landscape.
“ Visited Zaina Food Court around 4 PM after spotting it while passing through the junction. I initially wanted to try their shawarma, but was informed it would only be available after 4:45 PM, which was a bit disappointing. So I opted for their Alfaham instead. The Alfaham was fairly average — nothing extraordinary, just your regular grilled chicken. However, the porotta was surprisingly good in taste and texture. The dining area was neat and comfortable, and the service was decent with the food arriving in about 15 minutes. One plus point is their spacious parking, which is a big convenience in a busy area like Aluva. If you’re near Aluva railway station and in the mood for a quick bite like shawarma or Alfaham, Zaina Food Court is a decent option to consider, though not something to go out of your way for. ”
“ Zaina Food Court is a great stop for travelers with both a bakery and restaurant under one roof. The dining space is spacious and comfortable, perfect for families. I tried the Chicken Biryani and Al Fahm Chicken. The biryani was flavorful and tasty, while the Al Fahm had a fried-meat style twist which was confusing at first but actually delicious. Food quality is excellent and prices are reasonable. The staff are very kind and attentive. Convenient location and a good overall dining experience. Highly recommend this place for tasty food and warm service. ”
